Help Center – Blacklight Slide

BLS HelpCenter

  • Do I need a tube to slide?

    YES**.
We do require sliders to have some sort of inflatable to ride down the slide. We do require this for safety reasons; plus you go faster and everyone knows that fast = fun!
We will have tubes available for sale in-case you happen to forget.

**Tubes must be 26-30inches donut (circular swim) tube.  No pool rafts allowed.

  • What is your refund policy?

Unfortunately, we DO NOT issue refunds. The logistics of setting up and planning the event make it impossible. Location and date are subject to change. We will make every effort to maintain the original date and location, however some locations may cancel or city regulations make a date or location impossible to use. Just make sure you are good to go before signing up.

  • Can kids ride on my lap?

In the interest of safety, the kiddo’s must slide on their own tube. You will be able to chase right after them!

  • Is there a height or age requirement?

YES. Sliders must be 46” tall and at least 5 years of age in order to slide. Remember, if you’re under 18 you will need to have a parent or guardian sign or submit a waiver (typically done electronically at the time of ticket purchase) for you prior to sliding.

  • What should I wear?

We suggest wearing white for MAXIMUM GLOW effect! Most participants will be wearing swimwear however, any attire with the exception of jeans or items with rivets is welcome. Keep it classy though, children will be present.

  • Should I wear shoes?

It’s probably in your best interest. We suggest water shoes or sandals that strap to your feet (Fashion Tip: no socks with sandals). Flip-flops are not encouraged as they can fall off and potentially be lost.

  • Selfie Sticks?

Selfies are a go, selfie sticks are a no!

  • What if I don’t have a tube?

We will have fantastic glowing tubes for our brilliant glowing participants for sale. Just make sure and bring some extra cash as they will be $10!

  • What do I do with my stuff?

We understand slipping and sliding down may cause stuff to get lost in the waves. It is probably best to carry a small drawstring bag with you or leave your valuables in your escape vehicle. Our staff will be too busy being dazzled by the lights to watch your valuables!

  • Is there a place to change?

We do not have any changing stations. Unless you want to bring your own personal changing stations I would change at home or in the car.

  • Will it stain my swim suit?

What, you do not want your suit to glow? There is a possibility the water may stain your suit so I wouldn’t wear your best!

  • Weather Policies

Our participants’ safety is the most important thing and if any of the threatening weather conditions listed below are present the day of the event, the event may be delayed or canceled.

    Threatening Weather Conditions

Blacklight Slide will be canceled or delayed if any of the following weather conditions exist: Tornado Warning, Tornado Watch, Thunderstorm/Electrical Storm, “Heavy” Rain, winds above 20 MPH or other major weather condition.

Start of the Race / Cancellation of the Event

The start of the event will be delayed if any of the above mentioned conditions exist. The event will then be canceled if any of the weather conditions persist: Tornado Warning, Tornado Watch or Thunderstorm/Electrical Storm.

    Authority to Cancel the Event

The Race Director, in accordance with the city and the local law enforcement, has the authority to cancel the event. If threatening weather conditions force cancellation of the event, no refunds can be provided, since funds were already spent in preparation for race day.
